| My name is Lene Wang Rhoden, I am 20 years old, and I am very lucky
to be living with Marit this year while going to school near by. Right
now, I am studying at a agriculture School and have specialized in small
pets and domestic animals , with dogs as my specialist subject. During
this school year we have, amongst other things been doing some handling,
been on dog shows, and are studying cynology.
Dogs have been a great part of my life from the day I was born. I guess you can say that I always have been passionably engaged with dogs. I grew up with hunting dogs, and I lived in the dog yard before I could even walk. In 2000 I got my first own dog, a little Bichon Frisè called Sniffen. I came to Støren and met Marit for the first time summer 2005, and I have been here as often as I could since then. She has thought me a lot about dogs generally, but aspecially a lot about dog shows and handling. In 2007 I was very lucky to become extra family to one of Marit’s Boston Terriers – Barroco`s Unbeliveable – a breed I totally love, and my interest for it is growing every day. With Marit’s co-operation I am going to try to become a breeder of theese fantastic dogs. Marit’s contagious interest and enthusiasm has made my interest for dog shows and handling to blossom. I had been on a few shows and been doing some handling of dogs before, but it wasn’t until I met Marit that I became really interested. She has tought me so much, and she has helped me enter the show ring as a handler. I have now been on many shows and showed dogs. At the time I am training both puppies and grown-up dogs so that they can enter the showring. This is a great hobby for me which I am going to pursue in the future.
